Mom of 5, who is dying to make the shrug/cardigan for my 2 year old. Just 1 issue... downloaded the pattern, but it's not in english. Would love to send picks when it's completed.

are u kidding? the pattern is hardly seen...the photo is too small to follow

This would be a really sweet and fun to wear favorite if it was clearly written in English. I enlarged the pattern and seems to be in chains and double crochet stitches. If anyone has attempted to translate to English, I would really appreciate your expertise! Grammy from Wisconsin

Blow up the photo, because I could follow it just fine....even in a different language AND on my android phone!

Im still relatively new at patterns. what does V~I mean
cant find V or I in crochet terms on internet only V-stitch

Anonymous said...

Hollie Richardson a V stitch means you crochet 2 double crochet into the same stitch. They usually have one chain in the middle but it all depends on what the pattern/graph calls for.

I made this with cotton yarn and an H hook; it turns out nice but is for a ten month old size

I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THIS FOR MY GRANDDAUGHTER. DOES IT COME IN A SIZE 6

Tielakie said...

could someone tell me what weight yarn to use please and thank you

I started making it and the circle started to crinkle. Did that happen to everyone else. It would not stay flat. I need a more instructive instruction.

What size is it supposed to be?

I think it's for a 4 year old, I'm going to have a go with some double knitting and a 4 / 4.5 / 5mm hook, depending how it goes. I'm hoping it will fit a 2 year old - wish me luck!

I really want to make this for a size 7/8 girl. does anyone have any ideas on how to adjust this pattern to fit a larger girl? My granddaughter just fell in love with some yarn we found and she wanted this pattern but if it can't be enlarged I guess we'll have to look elsewhere but this looks pretty simple. I'm used to making afghans and have never made a piece of clothing so I really can't go too elaborate.

I'm interested in up sizing as well, 8-10. What size hook and yarn are is required? Thanks.

All Things Beautiful said...

How much yarn would be needed for a size 8-10?

Mom Deb said...

How much and what type of yarn is best

Hey guys i know that the comments are mostly older but i am trying this for a little girl in size 6 cloths. I am increasing the size by repeating the 6th and 7th row until i reach a good size. you can also increase the size by using a larger hook i might try I or J depending on the size wanted that way you wouldnt have to use so many extra rows. I do think that the purple marks are dc and the yellow are tc hence the color change. If anyone has the ability to get a larger copy of the pattern i would appreciate a copy or link.
